Boston to Bar Harbor

May 13–15, 2011

On May 13, 2011, I flew into Boston to board the next day a Holland America cruise to Bar Harbor, Canadian Islands, and down the St. Lawrence River to Montréal. My hotel was in sight of Logan Airport. I took the T to the Quincy Market area and wandered around a bit and had some fried clams followed with Boston cream pie.

We boarded the ship the next day and sailed out. This is a view of the ship's atrium.

We arrived the next day at Bar Harbor, where I took a bus tour that went to places I hadn't been and then made a stop at the gift shop on Cadillac Mountain. The fog was too thick for pictures there. I did recall the beautiful sunny day when I had been there before. There was just enough fog around the Bar Harbor Inn to give some atmosphere to the view of our ship.
