Ornaments on my Christmas Tree, 2023

I got a few new ornaments for my tree during my trip to Norway and England in July and August. I got this one in Norway at a shop in Bergen.

After Norway I went to the Three Choirs Festival in Gloucester. There was a souvenir shop in a large tent on the cathedral grounds, but all of the ornaments were rather generic. So the only souvenir I got at the Gloucester festival was a pack of 3 pairs of long bamboo socks I bought for £10 from a street vendor in a town where one of the remote concerts was held. I did wear the loudest of the three on Christmas Day.

After the festival, Lee and I had three more days before he needed to head to Blackpool, and I needed to go to London. So we decided to go to York. I had been there twice before, but much too briefly, and a friend told me of the huge railroad museum there. I got the Flying Scotsman pin to put on the tree at the museum. I got an oranment at the York Minster, which is what their cathedral is called.

I have visited London more than any other European city. It had been a long time since I had visited Greenwich, so that was my destination on my first day in London. I first toured the Cutty Sark, and I believe I bought something at that gift shop that could have been put on the tree, but I didn't run across it when getting ornaments together. I did buy the globe key chain at the Royal Observatory. You can see my pictures from Greenwich, starting here.
