We left Shelby by bus on Thursday, June 3, 2004, and rode to Daytona Beach, FL, where we spent the night. On Friday, 40 years and a week after our graduation, we boarded the Royal Caribbean ship Sovereign of the Seas and set sail late that afternoon from Port Canaveral.
