Rocky Mountain National Park

September 30, 2016

After the most delicious breakfast at the Baldpate Inn, we headed toward the entrance to the Rocky Mountain National Park. Trail Ridge Road had been closed the previous week for snow, but we were in luck and got to travel across it.

When we reached the Continental Divide at Milner Pass, I took the opportunity to eat some more of the birthday cake.

After Milner Pass, we crossed the Continental Divide again without noticing, because we were seeing the Arkansas River out of the car, when we had been seeing the Colorodao River. We must have gone through the Fremont Pass to get to Leadville, but could have crossed two more times before that.

on to Leadville ->

<- back to Fort Collins and Estes Park
