Stockholm afternoon

We got off the bus at the royal palace. I took a few exterior pictures, but never did the tour. I took some pictures across the water of some major buildings. I wandered around Gamla Stan and then crossed the bridge over to some gardens and on to the main shopping district. At the main transit center I bought my pass, and so was able to cover more territory. I stopped into the visitors' center and got more info. They recommended a church where there were a lot of good concerts. I told them I knew that, since I would be singing there the next day.

The ghost tour sounds interesting, but then I never got around to taking the Davidson ghost tour when it ran.
From looking at the Psychic poster, I thought that show sounded like it might be fun.

There was a Bach organ concert at the cathedral. Matt, Joe, and I arrived separately and met there.
After the concert we headed back toward the metro station. Joe was meeting some of the other young folks at a bar on top of a building. Matt and I found an Italian place near the station and decided to share a pizza. It was nice to have a chance to get to know him a bit better. The rest of the group mostly had known each other for years, and older folks had seen most of the younger ones grow up in church. It was good to meet new friends and get to know better the ones I already knew.
I had got to know Joe when he was in high school since he was an organ student with Katie Ann. He treated me like his old organist buddy. He played a recital at Providence UMC a week after we got back, and is moving to Phoenix to start his new job there. He did a great job as our accompanist and with the recital. He finished his master's degree at the University of South Carolina this spring. Young and old, it was a great bunch of folks as well as good singers.
