The Pride of America

Boarded December 9, 2017

The Norwegian Cruise Line has a subsidiary in Honolulu so that they can do cruises between islands without having to venture into international waters. Their ship Pride of America sails from Honolulu each Saturday. Other major cruise ships leave ports on the North American Continent, giving several days at sea. That also means they can have casinos. Since I wasn't interested in either, I chose the Norwegian ship.

The ship was decorated for the holidays.

Here is a video of a ride on the main elevator from the lobby on Deck 5 up to Deck 8, where my cabin was located.

The weather was warm enough that sitting on deck admiring the scenery as we passed was quite comfortable, as long as the wind wasn't too strong.

As on other cruises, the cabin steward left animals made out of towels on my bed each day.
