I hopped back on a tour bus, and we crossed the Thames on some famous bridges. London Bridge wins as the most boring bridge in London. In the distance you see the iconic Tower Bridge as seen from London Bridge. Some Americans think of Tower Bridge when they hear London Bridge. The latest incarnation of a succession of bridges built since Roman times, the present London Bridge was open to traffic in 1973. One of the older versions was moved to Arizona.

The Tower Bridge crosses the Thames unsurprisingly near the Tower of London. It was designed to look quaint to go with its surroundings, but was built from 1886 to 1894.

I had never crossed the Tower Bridge before, so I took some stills and video from the bus and came up with this rough iPhone movie:
